How Bridget Johns Left Retail To Turn Her Love Language (Gifting) Into a Thriving Business

How Bridget Johns Left Retail To Turn Her Love Language (Gifting) Into a Thriving Business

Hear how the CEO/Founder of To & From drew on her background in retail to design technology that helps online consumers figure out and find the perfect gift!

Bridget Johns grew up on a farm in rural Pennsylvania, but always had an innate wanderlust which led her to unique career experiences and travel.  She spent most of her career in retail, running the Ralph Lauren Home license business in Western Europe followed by roles at Tiffany & Co., L'Oreal and Links of London. However, her love for gift-giving and curiosity about consumer psychology eventually led her to start her own business, To & From, an app that serves as a gift-giving tool.  She designed the company's technology that helps a shopper work out what their intended recipient would want by way of a guided virtual process.  In six months she went from a loose idea to a functional product, with very limited funding and a team of part-timers – some of whom had never worked before (their "fabulous interns"). Listen in to hear about a unique and inspiring career journey from a female founder who is not afraid to open up about the twists and turns of becoming a successful tech entrepreneur!
